JBA Farm is owned and operated by Bret Argrave and Mark Gray, DVM, MS.  We are located in Gonzales, Louisiana which is approximately twenty miles south of Baton Rouge.  We also own and operate Gray Veterinary Service Inc. which is a mobile equine service.  

I am a native of Louisiana.  Having earned my B.S. degree in Animal Science, I began to train horses professionally.  I have been raising and breeding Jack Russells for more than fifteen years. I have also been breeding, training, and showing barrel racing horses for more than twenty-five years.

Dr. Mark Gray is a native of Texas.  Upon completion of Veterinary School, he moved to Louisiana where he began his practice.  Dr. Gray has a B.S. in Animal Science, a Master’s Degree specializing in reproduction, and a DVM.

We are passionate about our Jack Russells as well as our horses.  All of our dogs are treated as family, and our puppies are well-socialized with lots of attention.  Each puppy has a personality which is unique.  We want our puppies to enter into homes which are best suited to the temperament of each individual puppy.  We hold ourselves true to the JRTCA Breeders’ Code of Ethics.  All of our breeding dogs and bitches are BAER and CERF tested for hearing and sight.  Puppies must pass a health inspection at one year of age before they can be registered with the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America.  We also guarantee our puppies to be free of genetic abnormalities for one full year.  We stand behind our dogs one hundred percent and want the needs of both the prospective owners as well as the puppy to be completely satisfied.
